The Headlight Modulator is fantastic.
During my first ride after installation, people in front of me
kept checking their rearview mirrors to try and see what's flashing
behind them. So, this is evidence that cage drivers DO know you
are riding a small, otherwise transparent motorcycle and are
sharing the road with them. One driver even pulled over to let
me pass -- he must have thought I was a police officer. Oncoming
drivers stare into the headlight as it pulsates. Drivers who
plan to enter your path from a side street also glue their eyes
on your headlight. Before installation, I noticed they'd look
both ways, and sometimes still pull out in front of me before
catching themselves at the last moment once they finally saw
me. Now, they DEFINATELY see me coming. I still get that scary
feeling when a car wants to enter from a side street, but once
I see them looking at the headlight, I feel a whole lot better.
I also switched my headlight from the stock 55/60 watt to a 60/100
watt .. and then, I found a 100/130 watt bulb that I wish I'd
seen first.
